hp India Software Operations (hp ISO) in Bangalore
was established in 1989. The operation is a fully owned
subsidiary of the Hewlett Packard Company and is a part
of the e-Solutions Division (hp-esdi) of hp.
hp ISO develops high quality leading edge software
products, solutions and technology that accelerate the
delivery of software systems for hp and its extended
enterprise customers. In partnership with many hp divisions
and businesses, hp ISO is playing a strategic role in
developing and enhancing many hp products. Several key
labs across hp ISO including the e-solutions center
and Chennai center are assessed SEI-CMM level 5.
These key R&D programs span operating systems, networking
and network management and framework and application
development. Industry segments covered include financial
services, manufacturing and telecom. As part of its
tightly integrated relationship with hp's internet strategy,
hp ISO is playing a lead role in developing software
services that will form the heart of the next generation
of the internet. hp ISO regularly files invention disclosures
and patents in diverse technology areas and contributes
to value creation for hp worldwide through IP creation.
In addition to this product focus, hp ISO is strategically
involved in the creation of the customized solutions
for hp customers. Built on top of hp systems, software
products, & hp partner technologies these solutions
allow customers to accelerate the delivery of their
products and services, more effectively manage their
IT infrastructures, and better compete in today's challenging
and dynamic world.
For Indian customers, hp ISO works closely with its
sales arm HP India to provide consulting and engineering
expertise to bring contemporary world class solutions
and address their changing business needs. These customers
span several segments such as banking & financial services,
corporates, telecom companies & network/service providers.
Additionally, the Chennai (a dedicated HP-TCS joint
venture) enhances the skills, capability, domain and
reach of the existing HP center in Bangalore and vastly
increases ESDI's capacity to meet the rapidly growing
IT needs of HP customers around the world. This center
provides leverage between HP & TCS strengths and best
practices to build a world-class model for delivery
of complex environment solutions to global HP customers
in select industries.
hp ISO regularly contributes to social development
and causes through various forums, NGOs and other civic
bodies. It has an active group of volunteers called
MAD (Make A Difference), which participates and supports
organizations in activities such as generating relief
and support for natural calamities, supporting programs
for needy children and educational initiatives.
